A Gender Discussion with Jeffrey Marsh

I am a big fan of Jeffrey! It was a joy to read this post and discover Jeffrey’s perspective of gender. It is always wonderful to read the experience of another person, assigned male at birth, who identifies as genderqueer, non-binary and/or agender.

Welcome to my new, yet to be named series all about gender (any ideas please leave in the comments or tweet me at @hannahbinns!)  This installment is a something I wrote after interviewing Vine star and LGBTQ icon, Jeffrey Marsh.  Jeffrey makes Vines about self-love and acceptance, starting trends such as the #notimetohatemyself movement.

The reason I wanted to interview Jeffrey in particular is that they have rejected conventional gender labels almost entirely in favour of the term “gender-queer” or “gender-fluid.”  Jeffrey is one of the people who are opening up the discussion and trying to spread the message that you can be whoever you want to be/feel you are.
